“My mother works in the field to make living for me and my brothers. I was in charge of caring for and raring domesticated animals when I was in the village. ” –Pasang Sherpa
Introduction
Pasang Sherpa is 15 years old. Currently, he lives in SCH but he is originally from Ramechhap Nepal. There are five members in his family. Pasang’s mother’s name is Jangmu Sherpa and she is 37 years old. Pasang has two younger brothers, Phurba Sherpa age 9 and Phurnima Sherpa age12. They both live in the village with their mother. Pasang’s father Geli Sherpa went abroad when he was young but he has not been in contact with the family for years. Neither he sent money for the family nor he called to wife and children. Pasang and his mother have no idea what happened to him.
However, Pasang’s mother has been managing all the problems at the home. Although his mother is the only breadwinner of his family, the education for her sons is always on her priority list no matter what. So, she always tries her best to send her sons to school.
After Pasang came to Kathmandu his mother felt lonely in the village. There are two sons with her but they are still young to help each other. So, Pasang is thinking of sharing the responsibility of her mother after completing his school education.
Currently, Pasang studies in grade nine. He stays in SCH under the full scholarship project of ICEF-Taiwan.
Pasang is an intelligent boy. He is simple and friendly to his friends. His favorite subjects are science and social. Playing football and learning new things are his hobby. He is very happy to be in SCH.
“I am working hard now and I will be a good person in the future and make my mother proud. Thank you for supporting me”.
