His family
There are 4 members in his family: his parents and elder brother and himself. His father’s name is Lukchhring Sherpa, 54 years old. His mother is 45 years old.  His elder brother’s name is Lakpa Sherpa. He is 18 years old and in grade 11.

His parents are farmers in that small village. His mother is heart patient. She must do checkups monthly and take medicine regularly which will cost around Rs.3000. Rs.3000 is a big amount for villagers who do not have a proper income sources. After Mr.DM (President of SCH) reported about Dangima’s mother’s condition, ICEF-Taiwan has been helping with medicine expenses by providing Rs.3000 per month plus giving a scholarships for Dangima’s schooling.

Income Source

They grow vegetables in the field and rear cattle like buffaloes and goats. Farming and animal husbandry are the sources of income in his family. After a long period of lockdown, it directly affected his family and living.

Dear Sponsor,

Namaste, my name is Dangima Sherpa. I am 14 years old. I am in grade seven at Jiri Secondary School. My parents are farmers. We grow paddy, maize, and cauliflowers. Potatoes are the major vegetable in our place for income. Besides that, we have kept some Buffaloes and chickens. My father’s name is Lukchhring Sherpa. He is 54 years old. My brother’s name is Lakpa Sherpa. He is 18 years old and in grade 11. My mother is 45 years old. My mother is suffering from asthma and heart disease. She has to check on her body’s condition regularly. We have been receiving 3000 amounts of money for the treatment of my mother and Rs.1200 for my study from ICEF. I use the scholarship money for paying bus fare and tuition fees. The scholarship amount from ICEF has been very helpful for my family and my study. My sister is in Malaysia for employment. She is 24 years old and she takes care of her family and sends money for food, medicine, and other expenses.

I will work and study very hard for my bright future so that I can take care of my parents. Thank you very much for your kind help. I will never forget your help and kindness.
